Middle and high school teachers: Expand the walls of your classroom with PBS LearningMedia’s digital library of over 125,000 resources. Join Florida PBS for an exploration of innovative digital resources and new productivity tools and student experiences. Discover how digital media can support your teaching and learn how to use Florida PBS LearningMedia to inspire, engage and personalize learning experiences for your students.

Michele Watson is the FPBS Director of Education Services and is responsible for helping coordinate statewide education initiatives for Florida’s PBS television stations. Having received a degree in early childhood education from Florida State University, Michele began her career as an educator, working for the Polk County School Board for eight years. With her background in early learning and education, Michele has worked to introduce Florida PBS LearningMedia to educators so that they may experience the most dynamic digital platform of classroom resources available today.

How to Enter

Every contribution made towards our Radio Uninterrupted pledge drive is automatically entered into the drawings, but no purchase or contribution is necessary to enter. Click here to enter without donating. Limit one entry per household. Incomplete entries are void.

Eligibility

The drawing is open to legal residents of the 50 states of the U.S., and the District of Columbia. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. This contest is sponsored by WGCU, 10501 FGCU Blvd South, Fort Myers, FL 33965. Employees, board members and advisory committee members of WGCU, its affiliates, and their respective household members are not eligible. WGCU volunteers may enter if they are not included in the above-named non-eligible categories. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

Selection of Winner

Winners for the various prizes will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received by deadlines for each of the prizes. Prize drawing will be conducted by WGCU using a random number generator. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email within 24 hours of drawing. Winner will be announced on this web page within 24 hours of notification and acceptance of the prize. Every reasonable attempt will be made to award prizes. If after every reasonable effort has been exerted (three (3) attempts over 24 hours) to award the prize but the potential winner cannot be reached after 24 hours from first notification attempt, or the potential winner has refused to accept the prize, or if entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner awarded.

Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, hometown and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail.

Limit of Entry

Limit one entry per household for each prize during the entire entry period. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. WGCU is not responsible for failures in technology such as but not limited to: technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Proof of submission of web form does not constitute proof of delivery.

Prizes

One (1) drawing will be held for each announced prize. All prizes are non-transferable. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. All taxes on the prizes, including but not limited to federal, state and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not covered herein (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of the prize) are the responsibility of the winner.

Other Important Points

Prize drawing participants, by entering, release WGCU, its employees and its agents from any liability with respect to the receipt or use of any awarded prize. WGCU makes no and disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize.

WGCU reserves the right to cancel this contest and not award any prize in the event that in its judgment unforeseen developments warrant cancellation.

WGCU recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on this site. We will only use this information to contact you regarding membership and other contests, and we will send you our email newsletter. You may choose to opt-out from the emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email at any time. WGCU will not sell or otherwise distribute your email address to any third party.

If the prize amount is valued at $600 or more, and at least 300 times the cost to enter the drawing, WGCU will need to:

  • Obtain information about the prize winners
  • Report prizes to the IRS using IRS Form 5754
  • Notify the winners of this reporting
  • Withhold federal income tax on the prizes
